Sketching, EC Style, Part 2

Another drawing from my sketchbook. Ink.

Another drawing from my sketchbook. Ink.
Bang-Utot gave me a stack of reprints of old EC Comics a couple of days ago, and I’ve been reading and studying them quite a lot during this week. This is a warm up that I did last night:

Ink on my sketchbook.

I made this during the weekend, at the con we attended (report coming up soon). Ballpen on the sketchbook. The blue is a layer of ink I applied to the page previously. I’ve discovered recently that I enjoy drawing zombies quite a lot, despite not being a huge fan of the genre. I saw a couple of movies, I like a lot the Resident Evil games (and the movies. But I like them because of Milla Jovovich), I like to read The Walking Dead whenever I can…
Off to grab something to eat.

I made this drawing a couple of months ago, and I just remembered that I had already scanned it. It needs color and a caption text, that I’ll be making for sure when I return to the house on monday/tuesday (so you already know. No presence on the tubes for the weekend)

A page from my sketchbook. All made relatively quickly with a common marker. No previous pencilling.
The zombie Goyetto will see use soon :)

The finished cover. Ink on a A4 bristol board. Persona #6 will be avaible next month at a convention we’ll attend here in Buenos Aires.
As for the image, I wanted to try something about the amount of space that it used. The white borders are actually part of the image. Since the mini is photocopied, I always want it to look as clean as possible, without the bordersproblems that I had in #4, and some scratched blacks that appeared in some of the copies of #5. We’ll see, we’ll see…

Wait a little and I’ll write about the finished.
The back cover for the future issue of Persona (issue six). Made it last week, to take a little break from the short story I’m working on.
A strange thing happened with it. After finishing it, I couldn’t stop thinking that this character looks like a real person that I know, and on the other side I can’t stop thinking of the character Fred Abberline (From Hell)
I made this last week, just to draw something non related to work, pending comics, or anything. I painted the page with blue ink, I waited for it to dry, and after that I took a brush, loaded it with black ink, and started drawing there. No pencils, no previous work, nothing.
Oh, I was listening to a greatest hits of The Police during that, as you can guess.
