It is the start of another Toy Fair, the venerable institution in which toy companies trot out their wares for buyers and media. Only this time no one is quite sure where to go or what to do. The Toy Building, where most companies had showrooms for decades and decades, is closed for the most part; the action has moved to Javits and a smattering of other showrooms around the city. However, just to make it more fun, some companies still have their showrooms in the Toy Building, and others haven’t really moved.

Am I the only one scared of Star Wars Transformer toys?

Action-Packed Video Games a Sight for Sore Eyes
New study shows that an adult brain’s visual cortex can be retrained, which could help people with “lazy” eye see crowded letters more clearly.

I’ll go look for some article saying that “Playing video games in non-english speaking countries helps them to better learn the language”.

The Wii, which uses an innovative wireless controller to translate the players’ motions onto the screen, has upset the order of the video game world. In electronics stores and elsewhere, there are growing signs that the Wii has taken the lead in buzz and sales over another new console, the Sony PlayStation 3, which offers new superlatives in processing power and graphics.

I’d give a kidney for a PS3, but still, this makes me smile. I’m glad to see these things happening.
